Iron Stains
Iron in your water can cause orange/brown stains and streaks on your sinks, bathtubs and faucets. Clothing can also get spots and stains when washed in a washing machine with hard water. Light colored hair is also prone to staining from iron, and can give your blonde hair a brassy, orange tone. Rust can also build up in pipes, damaging your appliances.
Cleaning rust stains can be difficult, and requires the use of harsh solvents, many of which are toxic and can irritate skin and damage the finish on fabrics or appliances. A safer, permanent solution can be obtained by using either our Ecowater Brand or the “Sanitizer” water filtration system. That removes iron from the water before it has a chance to stain your clothing or sinks.
